As many of you may know, the “Build Kansas Fund” was passed this year with $215 million of funding for local communities.  Economic Lifelines is excited to partner with the Kansas Association of Counties and the Kansas League of Municipalities to bring you an exciting educational opportunity to help maximize awareness of this fund and how to access it to the greatest advantage.

Please plan to join us August 28 from 2-3 for a virtual presentation by Vanessa Lamoreaux from the Kansas Infrastructure Hub entitled “Kansas Infrastructure Hub & Build Kansas Fund: Creating Opportunities for Kansas Communities” (summary below) at the following link:

Overview: The passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), provides historic investments in critical infrastructure sectors across the US. Local entities now have the ability to access grant funding to replace aging infrastructure and make infrastructure investments that position their communities and citizens for the future. With most grant opportunities requiring a 20% Local Match and a robust application process, helping Kansas communities prepare for and successfully receive awards is critical.

Governor Kelly, with bipartisan support in the Kansas Legislature, established the Build Kansas Fund. A one-time investment of $215 million ($200 million for local match funding) is provided to directly support communities in accessing technical support, education, and local match funding for BIL programs. Learn how the Kansas Infrastructure Hub is making technical support and education available to YOU and how your community can access the local match fund to build a brighter future for your community and Kansas.

Specific Topics Covered Include:

  • How to access FREE grant assistance to match potential projects to grant opportunities.
  • Learn how education on BIL, the Kansas Infrastructure Hub, and the Build Kansas Fund will be made available across Kansas.
  • How to apply for and access the Kansas Build Fund.
  • How to access FREE technical assistance once you’ve received a federal grant award.
  • How to access FREE assistance to help your community engage in BIL opportunities.
  • And MORE!

Who Should Attend? Everyone! If you have an interest in securing BIL funding to advance your community needs in the sectors of energy, water, transportation, broadband, or cybersecurity, you should attend!
