Economic Lifelines Membership Meeting

Thursday, January 22nd at 2:00pm. 

Please join us as we hear from Adam Proffitt, Secretary, Kansas Department of Administration.  Secretary Proffitt also serves as the Director of the Budget.  

Adam will be providing an overview of the Governor’s Budget Recommendation for FY26 and FY27.  The State has ended each of the past five fiscal years with significant surpluses, and responsible budgeting has again become the norm.  The State Highway Fund has seen its extraordinary transfers eliminated, and it was held harmless as the state eliminated the food sales tax over the past three years.  This year’s budget will again be focused on long-term sustainability, as well as delivering core government services, including the continuation of progress on the 10-year transportation plan.
